Nancy Elizabeth "Liz" King

Nancy Elizabeth "Liz" King, 78, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away October 4, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1943, in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late Clinton and Pauline Fischer.
Liz was an insurance agent and retired from Jackson Insurance Agency. Her servant's heart led her to also serve as a member of the Fayette County Welcome Wagon. Liz worshiped and was a faithful member of Lisbon Baptist Church. She learned sign language and spent years using that gift in churches to help the deaf worship. Liz was a part a bridge group that consisted of life-long friends. She loved tennis and volleyball.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Clinton Fischer and Mary Pauline Frady Fischer; her grandson, Scotty Sharpe, Jr.; son-in-law, Pat Whitman; brother, Bobby Fischer; and sister, Judy McLendon. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ernest W. King; sons, Scott Sharpe (Terrie), Russell Sharpe (Janne'), and Brett King (Cary); daughters, Sherry Whitman and Karen King Magoon (Brandon); grandchildren, Sean Sharpe, Lauden Sharpe, Miranda Sharpe, Joel Rhodes, Rebekah Nowak (Kevin), Clint Sharpe (Kayla), Ansley Sharple, Alec Sharple, Anna King, Kelsey King, and Haylee King; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Fischer; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, October 9, 2021, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Lisbon Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the church. Interment will take place at the Lisbon Baptist Church cemetery.
