Peggy Ann Meyers Miller, 78, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY. At her bedside were her husband and two precious friends, Huey and Jessie Hinton. She was born on October 9, 1942 in Pineville, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Charles David Miller, her father Grover G. Meyers and her mother Amanda Wilder Meyers both of Pineville, KY.
Peggy taught for over 29 years, at Vine Grove Elementary, retiring from the Hardin County School System. She also taught Sunday School and kept the nursery for many years at her church along with her dear friend Roberta Hockman. She loved to take care of her house and she dearly loved her pets Charger, Bo, Sam and Gabby. When able, she loved to plant a vegetable garden and raise green beans, corn and tomatoes. She was especially fond gathering on Friday nights to share a meal with the "Apple Dumpling Gang".
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Miller Jr. of Elizabethtown, KY; several of her "adopted kids and grandkids", many cousins and aunts. She had a host of extended family members and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff, KY with Bro. Ron Hockman and Bro. Ben Underhill officiating. Burial will follow in Vine Grove Cemetery in Vine Grove. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
