Martha Ailene (Blayney) Caldwell, a resident of Phoebe-Berks in Wernersville, PA, passed away on September 25, 2021. She was 96. Burial will be at West Alexander Cemetery in West Alexander, PA.

Martha was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on October 25, 1924 to Ray Dean and Izetta Blayney. She married Seymour B. Caldwell of Franklin, PA on August 21, 1970. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Seymour, and three children, Paul, Roger and Patty Caldwell.

She is survived by her son, Robert Filby, Jr. of Steubenville, Ohio, daughter, Judith (David) Murray of Four Oaks, NC, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Martha worked for many years at Warrick's Grocery and Dairy Bar in Washington, PA. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the Franklin Homemaker's in Franklin, PA. Martha enjoyed crafting, canning the fruits of Seymour's garden and she was an avid quilter. She enjoyed reading and later listening to audio books.

A private memorial service is planned.
