Mark Anthony Sutton, also known as "Dooley," age 53 of Cookeville passed away Tuesday evening, October 5, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born September 17, 1968 in Buffalo Valley, Putnam County to the late William Bud Sutton and Joyce Jackson Rodgers.

Mark was a farmer throughout his life raising tobacco and cattle alongside his father. He was employed as a youth mentor with UCHRA for 13 years and was currently employed as an industrial cabinet maker with Cookeville Kitchen Sales.

Mark was a member of Rock Castle Emmanuel Church in Baxter for over 25 years and served as a deacon in the church.

Mark is survived by his adoring family - his wife of 27 years: Virginia Hoover Sutton; son: Tyler Sutton; brother: Jamie Rodgers; grandmother: Helen Jackson; father-in-law: Randall Hoover; sisters-in-law: Vicki White, Valerie Hoover, and Brandy Hoover; brothers-in-laws: Johnny Hoover, Joey Hoover, and Tim White; special cousins: Buddy Hancock and Leonard Hancock; and by a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by mother-in-law: Mildred Hoover.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Homes with Pastors Fabron Nicholson and Patsy Stewart officiating. Interment followed in the F A Norrod Cemetery in the Hanging Limb community of Overton County.
