Alfred Miles Crocker was born on July 27, 1891, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, his father, Kendall, was 27 and his mother, Hester, was 25. He married Ora Marie "Aurore" Collette on May 13, 1918, in Hoosick Falls, New York. Together they had four children, Philip, Donald, Milton (died young) and Kendall Fox 2nd. Alfred died on March 29, 1927, in Ashby, Massachusetts, at the age of 35, and was buried there. His wife, Aurore, died just a few months later leaving their children orphaned, to be raised by their grandparents.

Funeral of Alfred M. Crocker
The funeral of Alfred M. Crocker, Jewell Hill, Ashby, was held this afternoon from Christ church, attended by a large number of relatives and friends from this city and other places, including a large delegation from the Fitchburg Sportsman's club in which Mr. Crocker was active.

There were prayers at the home at 12:30 o'clock at which Rev. William Crocker, rector of the Church of the Epiphany, New York, an uncle of the deceased, officiated. At the service at Christ church Rev. Arthur J. Gammack, rector, officiated, assisted by Rev. Mr. Crocker. During the service a quartet composed of Mrs. Edith C. Dole, Mrs. Leroy Tucker, Harold A. White and Herman Cushing sang. The hymns were "Just as I am," "Lead, kindly light" and "Abide with me."

Burial was in Ashby where the committal service was read by Rev. Mr. Gammack and Rev. Mr. Crocker. The bearers were Charles J. Reslnm, Charles J. Zeigler, Leo Collette and Hector Collette of this city, Roger W. Bittles of Westminster and Frank Allen of Ashby. There was a profusion of beautiful floral offerings.
