Brian Chapman, 81, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away at Clark Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family on October 4, 2021. Brian was born July 17, 1940 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Raymond & Virginia Chapman and was raised alongside his three siblings.

He went on to serve in the Army National Guard with honorable discharge. He later married Linda Ethington and together they raised 2 children. Brian was a union steward with Jeff Boat of southern Indiana for 20+ years, having founded the "teamster's union".

Brian had a huge heart. Described as an "angel without wings", he would give the shirt off his back just to benefit someone else. He was a believer of God, loved fishing, football, cars, and (last but not least) beer. When relaxing he enjoyed John Wayne westerns and old war movies. Brian loved to tell stories of his younger years, and always could tell a good story with a beer or two!

Brian leaves behind to cherish his memory, his siblings; Donna R. King, Gail A. Bruner, & Bill K. Chapman, his children; Michelle Wright, Chris Chapman, & Bobby Wright, whom he loved as a son, his grandchildren; Caitlyn Wright & Collin Chapman, his grand-dog; Bella, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved him and will miss him very much.

There will be a visitation held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 10:00AM – 1:00PM, with a 1:00PM service to follow at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main Street, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
