Shirley J. Bryant, age 73, and Homer Bryant, age 78, passed away peacefully together on September 30, 2021 due to Covid-19. Shirley was born April 28, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, OH to Wedsel and Mary Holbrook. Homer was born in Floyd County, KY to Sollie and Tessie Bryant on February 17, 1943. She met Daddy when she was only 16 years old, but fell madly in love. On their very first date Daddy said he was going to marry her someday, which only made mommy laugh. They got married soon after she graduated from Groveport Madison High School on June 24, 1966.
They dedicated their lives to serving God, helping the homeless and raising their family. They were members of First Calvary Enterprise Baptist Church for many years. Daddy was a Deacon and Mommy was the treasurer.
Both were extremely hard working people and had a lot of love for others. Mommy retired from The Limited Distribution in 2009. Daddy retired from Techneglas Industries in 2004 when they closed the plant.
While Mommy only had two sisters, one that preceded her in death as an infant in 1942 and the other in 2016, Daddy had 9 siblings; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. His brother, Joe, preceded him in death in 1942. Survived by the remaining 8. They also had one son-in-law that preceded them in death in 2015, Donald Dotson. They were survived by three daughters, sons-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends that they loved very deeply. We love you Mommy and Daddy with all of our hearts and souls.
