Honora was the second wife of George Griswold; they married about 1616. George's first wife, Dousabel Leigh Griswold, died and was buried 28 Aug 1615 in Wooton Wawen, Warwickshire, England. George and Dousabel had one child, a son, Edward Griswold, christened 26 Jul 1607, at Wootton Wawen; he died 30 Aug 1691 in Connecticut, New England.

Honora was the mother of two sons:

1. Matthew Griswold, born 1620, died 27 Sep 1698, buried in Saybrook, Connecticut; he came to Windsor with his half-brother, Edward, in 1639; married Anna Wolcott, 1646; they had five children.

2. Thomas Griswold, born about 1622 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, England; he stayed in England, his spouse is not identified, died 1699; he had two children: Thomas, born c1645 in England, and Matthew, christened 1 May 1649 in Kenilworth, died after 20 Feb 1702.

(Information from "The Griswold Family: England-America," 1999 ed. It was speculated that Honora's maiden name was Pawley. George married Honora, apparently in connection with his purchase of a cottage and garden in Kenilworth from Hugh Underhill and Lettice, his sister. It seems Honora was probably a connection of the Underhill's. However, Honora being Honora Pawley seems to conflict with the information from the John Edward Underhill Sr. family.)

NOTE: Her page on FamilySearch claims she was born in Kenilworth 10 Jul 1581, and died 28 Aug 1630 in Kenilworth, however, no source is provided for this claim. The death date is doubtful. Some claim George Griswold married Dorothy James Griswold and use the same death date. Dorothy James' birth record shows she was born 1 Apr 1565 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. It is documented that Dorothy James married Henry Greswold, son of Richard Greswold and Margaret Hall.)
