She was born on December 15, 1960 in Albuquerque, NM to Waldemar and Olivia (Aguilar) Parks. Anita was a graduate of West Mesa High School in Albuquerque. Following her graduation, Anita enlisted in the United States Navy where she would proudly serve her country throughout Desert Storm and for 18 years until she reached her retirement date in 1996. After her retirement from the Navy, Anita became a full-time student at MU where she obtained a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences in 2014. While obtaining her degree she also maintained a full-time work schedule through the university working as a training coordinator and most recently as an EEG technician for the past five years.
Anita enjoyed gardening, going to concerts, traveling, going to the beach, riding her Harley, and above all else she loved spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband Aubrey Wright; daughter Diona Ayers; son Charles Aguilar; two stepdaughters Lacie Ogden and Nicola Wright; two brothers: Ralph Parks (Suzanne) and Sam Parks; two sisters: Sue Reitzell (Mike) and Mary Hise (Leo); and two grandsons: Julian and Josiah Aguilar.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents Waldemar and Olivia Parks and her grandparents Alfonso and Manuelita Aguilar.
