Gregory A. Matthews, age 65 of 1757 Bishop Lane, Findlay, Ohio died at 10:15 A.M., Sunday, October 3, 2021 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on August 22, 1956 in Tiffin, Ohio to Richard and Nancy (O'Neal) Matthews. He married Deborah (Hosman) Matthews on December 14, 2001 and she survives in Findlay, Ohio.
Surviving are a son, Nathanial Matthews, daughter, Amanda Whitaker, and three step children, Jason, Kari and Destiny. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and one sister, Colleen (Bobby) Baker, Findlay, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tabitha Matthews, a grandson and his parents.
Greg was a retired truck driver, attended Victory in the Cross Church in Findlay, loved to ride his Harley Davidson and fish and hunt. He also served his country as a Navy Veteran from 1975-1976.
A graveside service for Greg will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Bethel Cemetery, rural McCutchenville, Ohio with the Rev. George Jarrell officiating. A military graveside service will also be held by the Sycamore American Legion Post # 250.
