Sheila Lynn Carter, age 58 passed away October 4, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born November 13, 1962 in Jackson, the daughter of Jerry and Doris Langford Dunagan. She grew up in Jackson and attended Jackson Central Merry High School. She attended West Tennessee Business College, in Jackson earning a certificate in computer data entry. She worked for Midsouth Textile for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening and working in the yard. She also loved fishing. She was a member of the Decaturville Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her parents, Jerry and Doris Dunagan of Henderson; a son, David Hathcote, Jr. of Pinson and a daughter, Kishia Harris (Trent) of Finger; three grandchildren, Bryan Black, Jr., Cade Harris and Bella Black; a brother, Douglas Carter, Jr. (Michelle) of Jacks Creek and a sister, Sherry Franklin (Tommy) of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Nyla Hathcote.
