US Navy Veteran (1894-1899), Spanish American War. During the Spanish American War he was an apprentice first class on USFS New York, flagship of Admiral William Sampson. He detached from the ship on May 19, 1898, prior to the Battle of Santiago de Cuba on July 3, 1898.

Arlington was an alias, his real name was George Olmstead. He enlisted on January 27 1894 and was discharged in 1899. He lived and died at Peekskill, NY in 1911 at the age of 34. He was married to Emma, who survived him. The disposition of his remains is unknown.
