LARRY WAYNE MOORE left his earthly home and entered his heavenly home in the evening hours of Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Pearland, TX. He was born January 9, 1950 in Deport, TX to William Bob Thomas and Sarah Margaret (Eison) Moore and was baptized in the Baptist church.

Larry first met the love of his life, Ann Alvis Moore at Pearland Jr. High School. Years later, they met again while both worked for Doyle Tyson Pipe and Lumber. They were married on October 20, 1973 in Brookside Village, TX. Larry and Ann raised their three sons mostly in Brazoria Country, where Larry worked in law enforcement for 43 years.

Larry began his law enforcement in 1978 as a police officer at Brookside Village Police Department and in 1979 began working as a deputy for Brazoria County Sheriff's Department. From 1983 to 1984, Larry was a Lieutenant at Marion County Sheriff's Department and from 1984 to 1985, he was a Lieutenant at Gregg County Sheriff's Department. In 1986, the family moved back to Brazoria County where Larry would eventually retire from Brazoria County Sheriff's Department in 2012.

During Larry's time with Brazoria County Sheriff's Department, he was a Patrol Deputy; Sergeant of Patrol; Juvenile Officer; K-9 Handler with Officer Search Dog, Bear and Officer Drug Dog, Buddy; Detective; and Narcotics Officer. Larry was then asked by Sheriff King to help with the implementation of an 800 system radio, while simultaneously working as the Internal Affairs Officer. Larry continued to work in Internal Affairs until he retired in 2012. When he retired from the Sheriff's Office, he worked at the Brazoria County Courthouse as a bailiff for Judge Rickert and Judge Holder.

Larry was a devoted husband, and a loving and caring father, grandfather (PawPaw) and great-grandfather. Larry thoroughly enjoyed cheering for the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, and Texas Aggies, but what brought him the greatest joy was being his grandchildren's biggest fan in all of their various activities. He loved to hunt, fish, gamble, play cards and dominos, watch westerns and race his mud truck.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Louis (Judy) Moore, Luis Ray Moore, Bob Thomas Moore, and Marvin Moore; sisters, Mildred Whitehead, Margie Ashley, and Margaret Moore. Larry leaves his loving family to cherish his memory: wife, Ann Alvis Moore; son, Chris (Shannon) Moore; son, Larry (Kelli) Moore Jr.; and son, Scott (Nichole) Moore; grandchildren, Trent Moore, Autumn (Cisco) Pequeno, Austin Moore, Madison Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Cameron Moore, Ashlyn Moore and Jason Moore; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Pequeno and Remington Pequeno (due 11/2021); sister, Corene Siglin; brothers, Kenneth Dale Moore, Daniel Alvis and Russell Alvis; many nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Nutter and Nikkie.

Pallbearers: Jason Lara, Lance McLaren, Ashlyn Moore, Austin Moore, Cameron Moore, Trent Moore, Chad Moore, Cisco Pequeno
