SALEM, W.Va. — Trina Renee Thompson, 67, of Clarksburg, departed this life on Sunday, October 3, 2021, in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.
She was born in Clarksburg, on February 10, 1954, a daughter of the late Blaine Edward and Dessie Lucille Smith Cox.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Thompson. Also surviving are four daughters, Lori Romeo (Dave), Leslie Thompson (Paul), Tammy Hughes and Veronica Gates; one son, Clarence "Henry" Thompson; 9 grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; three nieces, Lynn Boyce, Dody Brown and Tessa King and her K-9 friends, "Doodles", "Ralphie" and "Jigs".
One daughter, Christina Thompson and two brothers, Jerry Smith and Kelly Cox preceded her in death.
Mrs. Thompson was a former employee of Louie Glass and had worked as an in home health care provider. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem, on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 7 p.m. with Pastor Peggy Williams presiding. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel after 2 p.m. until time of service.
