Carole Durrett Graham, 41, of Amarillo died Monday, April 12, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jim Bankhead, senior pastor, Dr. Murray Gossett, assistant pastor, and Pat Clark, first reader of First Church of Christ Scientist, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Graham was born Jan. 8, 1963, in Amarillo. She graduated as class salutatorian in 1981 from Tascosa High School, receiving the first Joni Whitlock Scholarship. She then attended Texas A&M and Amarillo College.

Carole was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1982. She attended West Texas A&M University, graduating in 1985. She then attended and graduated from Texas Tech School of Medicine in 1989. She received her license to practice medicine in Texas in 1991. Carole practiced medicine in Amarillo with a specialization in Psychiatry until her heatlh required her to retire. She married Raymond Scott Graham in 1993.

Carole participated in many different professional and social organizations including Morning Star and the HOST program at AISD. She was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist. She was a member of the board of directors of the Amarillo Area Foundation for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delmar Durrett in 1978.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Patricia Patton Durrett of Amarillo; four brothers, John Randall Durrett of Lubbock, Robert Durrett and Allen Durrett, both of Amarillo, and Louis Durrett of Austin; eight nephews; and seven nieces.

The family suggests memorials be to Eldon Durrett Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of AISD, 7200 W. Interstate 40, Amarillo, TX 79106.

The family will be at 3005 Anna St.
