She later studied psychology in her teens before taking up modeling as a career. Her first modeling job came when she was signed to the Assets Modeling Agency, and this soon led to other modeling jobs with Suzuki and Sony Ericson. French also made numerous television appearances on the programs, "Tubridy Tonight", RTE's "Celebrities Go Wild", "Seoige And Shea", "The 2nd TVNow Awards", and "The Podge And Rodge Show", a show for children. Well-known for her charitable work Miss French also participated in charity's including the Dublin, Ireland, based GOAL Organization and ones in Calcutta, India. In 2006, she became engaged to restaurateur Marcus Sweeney, but their relationship unfortunately ended in a very public fashion after she was photographed for a lingerie shoot in his restaurant in January 2007. In November of that year she also revealed that she was a regular taker of the drug cocaine, and warned young people of the dangers and not to follow her example. On December 2, 2007, French collapsed at a house of one of her friends. She was admitted to the Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, County Meath, and passed away from yet undetermined causes on the evening of December 6, 2007. Miss French was just 24 years of age. At the time of her death, she was considered one of Ireland's best known models and socialite.
