She gave her life to Jesus Christ at an early age and worked to show how she loved the Lord. She was a member of Grayland Baptist Church for over 20 years.
Bernice loved people. She would spend hours calling family and friends to check in and see how everyone was doing. She just wanted to hear your voice every day. If she did not reach you, she would make sure to leave a message.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" E. Brown Sr.; parents, Capus and Lerline Worsham; sisters, Carline Worsham, Lillian Bland and Jearline Gilliam; and her brother, Leon Worsham. Left to cherish her memories are four children, James Brown, Jr (Donna), Lisa Brown, Kevin Brown (Ebonic), and Valerie Birchett (Shawn); nine grandchildren, Dymonic Monroe, LaShawn Williams, Chelsea Brown, Daija Brown, Justin Brown, Dorien Brown, Ezekiel Birchett, Daila Brown and Isaiah Birchett; two brothers, Lloyd and Leonard Worsham; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
