Marlow: J.E. "Jeep" Jenkins, 95, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Lawton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Boydston and Jerome McCalvin officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery .
Jeep was born Friday, May 21, 1926 in Ridgeland, MS, to Joseph Eubis and Martha Ruth (Henderson) Jenkins. He was a graduate of Madison Ridgeland High School. Jeep was a proud member of the United States Navy during WW II, and afterwards he worked as a wholesale gasoline distributor for Conoco. He married the love of his life, Virginia Hutcheson, November 24, 1950 in Ridgeland, MS. Jeep and Virginia celebrated more than 59 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on December 27, 2009. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and telling or hearing jokes but music was his life. Jeep was the Music Minister at Fifth St. Missionary Baptist Church for many years and he also sang in Barbershop Quartets. He kept church and music as his focus in life. Jeep was a good and reliable man and he could always be counted on. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include, son, James Jenkins of Tye, TX, 2 grandchildren, J.J. Jenkins of Elizabeth, CO, and Laura Jenkins of Marlow, 6 great-grandchildren, Jake Jenkins, Will Jenkins, Lilly Moore, Chevelle Barrington, Letti Cole, and Jonna Cole, 2 nephews, William May and wife Ann, and Simeon May and wife Denise
Jeep was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister, Mae Lee May.
Pallbearers will be: William May, Simeon May, Gary Henderson, Dale Goodrich, Bill Bunn, and Todd Clark
Honorary bearers will be: David Richardson, Ivan Cunningham, Martin Blough, Albert Williamson, Frank Williamson, Eddie Henderson, Jake Jenkins, and Will Jenkins.
