A native of Dawson County, Mrs. Harris lived in Marietta Cobb County for most of her adult life. She worked for JC Penney At Cumberland Mall, where she helped open the store and was a faithful worker for 17 years before retiring to take care of her daughter who has MS. She was a devoted caretaker of her daughter for over 30 years with love for her husband of 67 years and both her children. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Martha is survived by her children Donna Kay Harris and Philip E. (Susan T) Harris of Marietta; grandchildren Karissa L. (Trenton) Harrison and Cameron James Harris of Acworth; great grandson Greyson Robert Harrison; sister Carolyn G. Walker of Gillsville; sister-in-law Betty McGregor of Sharpsburg; brother-in-law James Ivester of Newnan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
