Donald Keith Lambert passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age 63. He was born on March 2, 1958 in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of Hanhville.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Rainey Lambert, his children, Duane Lambert (Nicole), Valerie LeBlanc (David), Dawn Delatte (Joel), Casey Turk (Lauren), Sara Lambert, Zearl Turk (Liz), Victoria Lambert (Nick), and Lisa Huth, grandchildren, Kaylee, Nick, Emilee, DJ, Juliette, Ellis, Jaxon, Claire, Dustin, Lilyann, Aryna, Kalie, LJ, Paisley, Lily, and Orion, and great-grandchildren, Bradley, Cameron, and Killian.
He is also survived by his mother, Billie Alexis and brothers, Gordon Jones, Ralph Lambert (Connie), and Bruce Morros.
He is preceded in death by his son, Dustin Ray Lambert, father, Roy Excel Lambert, and sister, Judy Lambert Morros.
Donald graduated from Bonnabel High School in 1977. He worked in fire protection and fire safety for over 30 years. Donald enjoyed being outdoors and especially fishing. He had a green thumb and was a big LSU and Saints fan. He also enjoyed Nascar (#18), FOX News, drinking Sailor Jerry, cooking, and traveling (especially to the Navarre Beach)!
He had a free spirit, kind heart, and never met a stranger. He was an awesome husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM with a memorial service to begin at 1PM.
