He was born June 28, 1955 the son of the late Lester L. and Velma R. Williams.
Roger was a 1973 graduate of Paden City High School; received his Bachelor's Degree from Fairmont State University and Doctoral Degree from West Virginia University of Dentistry; was a member of Wheeling Island Lions Club and a past member of Washington Lands Lions Club where he had served as secretary and former zone chair person and received the Melvin Jones Fellow and Leonard Jarrett Fellow awards; a Kiwanis Club, Rotary, and Circle K member; and he volunteered as a Wheeling Easter Seal phone operator and raised money for numerous events and causes.
Doc devoted his life to his private Dental Practice of 34 years in Moundsville. His passions were NASCAR, WVU Football, classic cars, commuter/regional trains, and Military Aircraft.
Survivors include a sister, Shauna Williams-Yoho of Paden City, WV; and three nieces, Shyra Yoho, Charay Yoho, and Ciera (Zachary) Blair.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 -3rd St., New Martinsville with Pastor Kenneth Keifer officiating.
Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, New Martinsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to local Lions Clubs, or the Toy & Train Museum in Wheeling, or American Cancer Society.
