Mrs. Ellis was born July 5, 1941, in Mansfield, Ark., the daughter of Homer and Grace Kinard, and attended Arkadelphia, Ark., High School.
She married George Ellis on Jan. 11, 1960, in Arkadelphia while he was serving in the United States Navy.
Shirley worked for Walmart for almost 20 years, first in Conway, Ark., and later as Customer Service Manager at a smaller store in Burleson and then the Walmart Supercenter on Wilshire.
Surviving is her husband, George; daughter, Jacque Immel of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Billy Jean Russey of Arkadelphia; five grandchildren, Josh Claunch and wife, Amber, Brittney Senecal, Michelle Senecal, Preston Ellis and Taylor Ellis; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Claunch and Connor Claunch.
A son, Steve Ellis; three brothers, Don Kinard, Jim Kinard and Ronnie Kinard; and three sisters, Marilyn Kinard, Melba Clark and Gail Williams, are deceased
