A Celebration of Life gathering will be 10:00 a.m., to Noon, Saturday, October 9, at the Mechanicsville Memorial Building in Mechanicsville. A luncheon will follow the services. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Iowa.
Kimberly Sue Huffman was born September 21, 1981, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Rudolph and Inis (Svoboda) Huffman. She graduated from North Cedar High School, Clarence, in 2000. She married Christopher Lee Potter on June 21, 2008, in Mechanicsville. She was a very loving wife and mother and always had a smile on her face. She was a girl scout leader and was the leader of the SPRC committee for Faith UCC Methodist Church in Mechanicsville. She enjoyed board games, the color red, movies, Green Day music and was a huge Harry Potter fan. Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are her husband Christopher; one daughter, Aleah, at home; one step-daughter, Alexis Potter of North Liberty; one sister, Jennifer (Steven) Gaunt of Tipton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the Mechanicsville Fire Department and the Lisbon and Mechanicsville Ambulances, for their care and service.
