Rodney Lee Williams, 84, passed away on a Saturday morning, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of William A. and Helen M. (Krebs). Rodney attended school in Ford River and worked with his dad in the woods cutting and skidding timber and also for Ruleau Bros Commercial Fishing.
Rodney served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
On August 16, 1969, Rodney married Pamela Sue Wells in Ford River. She preceded him in death in 2004.
When Rodney returned from the military, he worked for Hebert Construction as a crane operator, retiring in 1991. He was very proud of his involvement with the Engineer's Union, receiving his 55-year plaque this year.
Rodney was an avid gardener, hunter and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include: children, Rachel Williams, Rodney Stephen Williams, Robert Williams, Rebecca (John) Sturdy, and Ryan (Tiffany) Williams; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol (Jim) Wunder, Rick Williams and Bill (Celeste) Williams.
