Dan was a 1952 graduate of Cathedral High School prior to serving in the United States Navy for four years. After his military service he worked for Indiana Bell, later Ameritech and then AT&T, for 42 years prior to retirement. Dan and "Toddy" were members for over 30 years of Holy Cross Catholic Church prior to its closure by the Archdiocese.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Velma "Toddy" Holzer Daly; daughters, Ann T. Daly and Mary C. Daly; brother, Thomas M. Daly; sister, Mary Ann Maruska (Brian Donnelly). He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lawrence F. Daly, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Godecker on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in Good Shepherd Catholic Church - 2905 South Carson Avenue, Indianapolis, with visitation from 6:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. The burial will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
