on February 7, 1954, he was the son of the late John (Pete) Barnes and Ethel Mae Parrish Barnes.
The light of Ricky's life was his grandchildren. Ricky loved spending time with his grandbabies,
spoiling them to their hearts content. After Ricky's retirement from Firestone, he could be found at
the house watching old western movies or watching a NASCAR race on Sunday's. Those who knew
Ricky knew that he had a love for barbeque. No matter the occasion, Ricky enjoyed eating on a well-cooked pig.
A service to celebrate Ricky's life will be held in the evening of Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 7
P.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M.
Interment will be on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at White Oak Presbyterian Church
Cemetery in Fremont.
Ricky is survived by his son, Thomas Barnes and wife, Jody; daughter, Stacy Barnes Craft and
husband, Micah; grandchildren, Sahara Barnes, Justin Mullins, Brianna Craft, and Micahlyn Craft;
and great-grandchild Avery Thomas Barnes. Ricky is also survived by his brothers; Jackson (Peter)
Ferrell, and James Ferrell; and sister, Jerri Ferrell Webb.
In addition to his parents, Ricky is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Dianne Barnes; brother,
Jessie Ferrell; and sister, Patricia Barnes Currie.
