Russell Henry Martin third son of Romeo and Rose Martin, was born October 24, 1914, near Rembrandt. He attended school there graduating from Rembrandt High school in 1933. On October 28, 1934, he was united in marriage to Clara L Clever. To this union three sons and three daughters were born. For the past several years Mr. Martin was engaged in commercial trucking. It was while so employed that he passed away as a result of a fatal accident on the morning of June 17, 1966.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Carson Francis and three children Charlotte. Ernest Russell and Raymond Jon.
Let to mourn his passing are his wife, Clara of Newell; one son, Berton of Storm Lake, two daughters Lorraine (Mrs. Alan Lund) of Newell, and Patricia (Mrs. Dana Haahr) of Storm Lake, two brothers, Ralph and Romeo of Rembrandt, and one sister, Fern (Mrs. Wilbur Peterson) of Marathon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
