Donald Gene Riley, age 79, of Holliday, MO, passed away September 29, 2021 at The Bluffs Nursing Home in Columbia, MO.

Don was born on January 26, 1942 in Holliday, MO, to Raymond and Nadene (Hughes) Riley. He graduated from Paris High School in 1960 to become a farmer and later became an over the road truck driver.
Don travelled 2 million safe miles in his professional driving career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, western movies, country music and spending time with his family and friends.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army National Guard for 5 years. His family and friends will always remember him as having a great sense of humor with a big smile on his face. He never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Riley, mother, Nadene Riley and sisters, Sharon Riley and Sheila Mongler.
He is survived by his daughter Shari L. (Pat Smith) Riley of Columbia, MO and son, Faron (Jami) Riley of Omaha, NE.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Bethany (Brandon) Kelly of Moberly, MO, Kennedy and Caden Lewis of Columbia, MO, and Aaron and Allison Riley, Grace, Garrett, and Gibson Kennedy of Omaha, NE.
He is survived by his great grandchildren, Eli, Luke, and Owen Kelly of Moberly, MO.
He is survived by two sisters, Betty Brooks of Moberly, MO and Bonnie (Howard) Wilson of Shenandoah, IA.
A private memorial service celebrating Don's life will be held at a later day with Inurnment in Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Paris, MO.
