Bobby Harold Cunningham was born June 16, 1943, in Ravenna, Ohio, to Ralph and Mary Isabelle Cunningham. He grew up in Barlow, Ohio with two brothers, Jack and Randy. Bobby excelled at basketball and football while attending Barlow High School, earning himself a spot in their Hall of Fame. He passed away peacefully at home with his family with him.

Bobby joined the Navy in November of 1961 in Marietta, Ohio. He went on to serve as an aircraft mechanic aboard the USS Oriskany until his discharge in March of 1966 in San Diego. He married his first wife, Paula, and moved to Oregon. Bobby worked for Weyerhauser as a lumberjack from 1966-1970, then went to work for and retired from National Elevator Construction Co. as a member of Local 23 for over 33 years. On January 18, 1975, he married Charlotte. They were married for 46 years.

Bobby was passionate about basketball and coached Jr. High girls' basketball for over 15 years. He was involved with the food pantry at King of Kings Lutheran Church. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He took great pride in his yard and enjoyed working to make it look beautiful. Bobby was a kind, honest and generous man with a great sense of humor. He loved his grandchildren and the rest of his family very much.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Mary Isabelle Cunningham, his first wife, Paula Gilmer; and his daughter Nancy Jo.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Cunningham; daughters: Lori Michelle (Michael) Woods and Vicki Renee Garrison; and grandchildren: Jessica (Joel), Sarah and Christopher.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 16th at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Milwaukie. In Lieu of flowers please make remembrances to King of Kings Lutheran Church, 5501 SE Thiessen Rd, Milwaukie, OR 97267.
