Roland "Buck" Vernon Simington 84, passed away on June 12, 2007 in Klamath Falls Oregon. A service of Tribute and Love will be held Saturday June 16 at 10am at Eternal Hills Chapel with David Loser officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday June 15, 2007 from 1pm-7pm at Eternal Hills.

Buck was born March 19, 1923 in Kimball Nebraska to Percy and Ruth (Finn) Simington. Buck was a WWII veteran he served in the Army 284 Combat Engineers as a sergeant; he was involved in the following campaigns: Battle of the Bulge, The Rhine River and black Forest. Buck Spent a great portion of his life in Colorado, Wyoming and California. During his working years he did auto body, fender work and was a painter. Buck enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He enjoyed his Pelican Camping group and his 50+ group at Church. He also enjoyed making pop can butterflies after he retired. You very seldom saw him without a smile and he was always willing to help others. He loved being around his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Buck is survived by his wife of 17 years Joyce Simington of Klamath Falls, sons and daughters in law: James and Sheila Simington, Bill and Lottie Simington of Klamath Falls, Vic and Sharon Simington of Colorado, David and Lynn (Simington) Mullens of South Carolina, Michael and Cathy (Simington) Mullen's from Virginia. Daughter Mary Anne Starling of Virginia. Sister Edna Long of Roseburg Oregon, Brother and sister in law Jack and Lea Simington of Klamath Falls Oregon. Step children Sharon and John Murray of California, Jim Provancha and Tom and Cindy Provancha of Portland. 22 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren also numerous other nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Ralph and Ben, one sister Nellie Bellis. Previous wives Bess (Kester) Simington and Sarah (Mullens) Simington.
