Chris Edward West
July 21, 1951 ~ October 2, 2021 (age 70)

Chris West, 70, of North Little Rock Arkansas, passed away on October 2nd, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Chris was born on 7/21/51 to Jane and J.N. West in North Little Rock.

He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. He worked at Helmich Auto serving the Hillcrest community for over 30 years with his brother Stan and beloved nephew Dustin.

He wed the love of his life, Jeannie West, in 1975 and in the words of their granddaughter were "the true definition of marriage, staying by each other's side in sickness and health, till death do us part".

Chris was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was glad to watch his children Tera, Eric, Jessie, Emily and Tori grow up and always tried his best to support them.

He was unendingly proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Jacob, Noah, Breckin, Bella, Israel and India.

Chris was also a passionate musician, artist, fisherman and hunter. He loved to mine gold, treasure hunt and collect coins, and could often be found in the deer woods when he wasn't at home. One of his proudest accomplishments was participating in the first alligator hunt in Arkansas and bagging a 300 lb,10 ft alligator.

Anyone who knew Chris knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Chris was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his loving brother Stan (Lisa & family), lifelong best friend of almost 70 years, Benny, and a host of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
