Horace T. Ardinger, Jr. was born on January 11, 1925 in Carthage, MO to Mr. Horace T. Ardinger, Sr. and Mrs. Fern Bryan Ardinger, affectionately known as "H.T." or "Mr. A" passed away surrounded by his adoring family at his home in Frisco, TX on December 24, 2012. As a member of a fifth generation Dallas family he graduated from Adamson High School and briefly attended Texas A&M before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corp where he earned his wings, trained hundreds of young American aviators during WWII, and began his lifelong love of flying. After honorably serving our country through the end of the war he graduated from SMU in two years with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and joined his parents in founding H.T. Ardinger & Son Co., a specialty import wholesale company, in 1948. His impeccable integrity, hard work ethic, treating everybody with dignity and respect, and innovation in the industry was coupled with an amazing array of customers, employees, and business relationships around the world whom he greatly treasured. He felt blessed to contribute to the founding and success of Home Interior & Gifts, Dallas, TX as a Director and Executive Committee Member from 1958 through 1998; supporting the efforts of thousands of independent business owners across our nation; serving as Chairman of the Gift Board for the Dallas Trade Mart from February 1968 until February 1969; being a founding and ongoing Limited Partner of the Dallas Mavericks; and being involved with diverse business and charitable enterprises. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary L. Ardinger; his daughter, Beverly and her husband Matthew Brown along with their children; his daughter, Sharon Lynn Ardinger; his daughter, Donna Annette Ardinger; his daughter, Deborah Jeannette and her husband Gary Kimberlin; and his step-son Lance Ouellette along with his wife Elena and their children; and his sister, Mrs. Anita Ardinger Ray of Dallas and her family. We give praise to God the Father for his life, thanks to Jesus Christ for the hope we have of being re-united with him, and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit who provides him and all of us true, ever-lasting peace!
