Barbara Poole Newton, 80, of Waynesboro, died Oct. 2, 2021 at the Keysville Nursing Home. She was born Apr. 10, 1941 to the late O.B. and Sara Hillis Poole. Barbara will be missed by her family as she was a truly loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also loved her dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell D. Newton, III; granddaughter, Malorie Francis Israel; brother, Burley Poole; and sister, Jayne Poole Meeks. Surviving are her son, Brett Newton (Judy) of Blythe; daughter, Sarah Newton Israel (Scott) of New Orleans, LA; grandsons, Russell Newton of Blythe and Andrew Newton of New Orleans, LA; granddaughter Alyssa Israel Condrey of New Orleans, LA; great-granddaughters, Mattie Newton and Ryleigh Newton.
