"George Critchley, a resident of Valley Stream for the past 19 years, died at his 109 Elmwooe Street on Saturday, February 2. He was born in England, had been in the country since a young man and was presently employed by the Sperry Gyroscope Company as an assembler. He is survived by his wife, Alice R. and a daughter, Dorothy E. Critchley.
Funeral services were conducted at the Moore Funeral Home on West Jamaica Avenue on Tuesday, February 5 at 8 pm. Rev. Gowan Williams, Rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church officiated. Interment took place on Wednesday morning in the family plot in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead."
