– Mr. Benjamin Therlow Starnes, 58, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Rev. Dr. David Shytle officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Born in York County, Mr. Starnes was the son of the late Therlow Starnes and the late Tincie McLain Starnes. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Buck Starnes, Amos Starnes and Woodrow Starnes; and his sister, Dot Burns.
Surviving are his son, Benjamin T. Starnes, Jr.; three daughters, Angela Starnes, Brittany Starnes and Kristy Starnes; his grandchildren, Neaveh, Constance, A.J. and Marian; three brothers, Thomas E. Starnes, Frankie Starnes and Melvin Starnes, all of York; and his sisters, Sara S. Sprouse and Mary Hardwick, both of Rock Hill.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC and other times at the home of his sister, Sara Sprouse.
