Eric G. Farmer, 56, formerly of Dayton, passed away at home in Pikeville, Tennessee after a long battle with cancer. He was a proud veteran of Desert Storm serving his country in the U.S. Army. Eric worked 25 plus years in the alarm industry. He loved his family, music, golf, Tennessee football, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, James Hoyal and Nancy Juanita Farmer; parents, Alvin G. & Margaret Leone Farmer; oldest sister, Sheila Hill Dunn and nephew, Alex Farmer.

Left to mourn his passing are his loving daughter, of Pikeville; two; one brother; one grandson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; longtime friends, Jim and Wendy Pugh and Mark and Shannon Cashman and many other friends and colleagues.

There will be a service at the funeral home and entombment following at Chattanooga National Cemetery that will be announced shortly.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga Dayton Team and a very special thank you to his nurse, Marcella Hewitt.
