Susan Driscoll Martin, 92, of Southbury, CT, died on September 30, 2021, at the Woodlands at Pomperaug Woods. She was born on May 6, 1929, in White Plains, NY, to the late Ethel Brennan Driscoll and Arthur F. Driscoll. She was predeceased in June by her husband of nearly 70 years, William Edwin Martin.

Sue grew up in Scarsdale, NY. After graduating from Scarsdale High School, she attended Pine Manor Junior College and the Tobe-Coburn School for Fashion Careers. She met William Edwin Martin in 1950 and they married in 1951, eventually settling in Stratford, CT, where they raised their family. They retired to West Suffield, CT, and spent many years at their beloved lake home before moving to Pomperaug Woods. Sue made a career of caring for her home and family and volunteering for the Girl Scouts and her parish church. She was a gifted fiber artist, primarily in sewing and knitting, including clerical vestments. Many of her handmade items are her enduring legacy. In addition to creating items with her hands, her faith and her family were her passion.

Sue is survived by her three children : six grandchildren ; one great grandson and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Marjorie Tucker, Ethel Mallory, and Kathleen Johnson.
