Richard Reid is survived by his wife Gail Reid (nee Goldwater), two daughters Ann Vance (nee Reid), Nicole Reid, one son Jessie Reid, three granddaughters Cheyenne Vance, Madison Vance, Neomi Statetzny, and one grandson Bryson Vance. He is also survived by five of his siblings, Gladys Walker, Alice McComas, Robert Reid, Carla Donoff, and Rudy Reid. He was proceeded on death by his parents Carl Herman William Reid and Neomi Marie Reid (nee Freeman), and five siblings Ronnie Reid, Ralph Reid, Connie Martin, Carolyn Douglas, and Randy Reid.

Ashes will be spread at his favorite junkyard in Westland Michigan.
