Earnest Earl Wigley, age 92 of Gatesville, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at home. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Friday, October 8, 2021 at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Salado. Pallbearers will be Andrew Frieden, Bill Wigley, Kenny Wigley, Jimmie Wigley, Bob Monk, and Richard Cox.

Earnest was born on July 20, 1929 to William and Eula (Sanders) Wigley in Gail, Texas. He married Odessa Jackson on March 20, 1948 in Lampasas. Earnest was an honest and decent man. He was a hard worker and always took care of his family. Earnest was a carpenter and was the foreman on the jobs he took. He loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Earnest is preceded in death by his parents, William and Eula; his wife, Odessa Jean Jackson Wigley; 3 brothers, William Wigley, Jackson Buell Wigley, and Joe Harvey Wigley; 4 sisters, Jessie Maulden, Rosie Pearce, Doris Wofford, and Eula Marie Wigley; brother-in-law, Koen Jackson Jr.; sister-in-law, Edna Love; son, Raymond Earl Wigley; and grandson, Sean David Rounsaville.

He is survived by his son, James Wigley; daughter, Janice Beckham; brother-in-law, Drew Jackson; sister-in-law, Gayla Shelley; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Magana, Brandi Frieden, and Amanda McRoberts; 8 great grandchildren, Kristine Mora, Alyssa Rounsaville, Dylan Beckham, Lynsey Rounsaville, Bradley Thomas, Ryder Frieden, Conner Frieden, and Nora Frieden; 3 great great grandchildren, Brayden Hutchinson, Lexi Hutchinson, and Zoey Mora; and numerous neices, nephews, and half siblings.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimers and Dementia charities of your choice.
