Throughout her life Janice brightened everyone's day with her quick wit. She can be described as a woman of strong conviction, confidence, humor, and one who stood by her principles. She worked numerous jobs throughout her life while raising four children with her first husband Harold Parker. Janice bought, renovated, and sold many houses before it was mainstream, and enjoyed cooking and hosting her family for holidays. Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 26 years, Hoyt Cox.
She is survived by her four children, Rob Parker (Sandy), Kristy Parker, Kelly Recktenwald (Gary), and Jill Whitehead (Dale); stepson Dean Cox; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12 PM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Visitation will be from 2–8 PM on Monday, October 4, and 10 AM to12 PM on Tuesday, October 5. Burial Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
