David Alan McNabb was born on December 19, 1961 in Willoughby, Ohio, the firstborn child of Richard (deceased) and Kay McNabb. On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the age of 59, God called him home to heaven after a hard-fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Mark Sasser officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
David attended Mentor Christian School and was a proud member of the school's first graduating class in 1980. He attended Baptist Bible College and later graduated from Columbus Technical College with a 4.0 grade point average in the field of Website and Graphic Design.
In his early adult life, David was a member of Willow-Hill Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and was a basketball coach for Willow-Hill Christian School. He was an active volunteer for Lake County Red Cross mobile unit. He loved all night fishing excursions and hunting.
David won a trip to the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. This was when he met his future wife, Sheree. They married in 1999 and David moved to Columbus.
David's phone was never far from his hand. He kept in touch with family and friends with short frequent calls. He was an avid collector of M &M dispensers, coins, and sports memorabilia. He loved sharing these collections with his nephews/niece and friends' children.
David was a member of East Highland United Methodist Church. At the center of David's heart was his love for God, ministry to others, and his family. Even though he was unable to be physically active in the later years of his life, he loved interceding for others, frequently leading Bible studies, praying for, and reading the Bible with others. To know David was to know his love and compassion for God and people.
David is survived by his wife Sheree (Glackmeyer) of Columbus, GA, his mother Kay McNabb of Trophy Club, TX, brother Bruce (Anita) McNabb of Wickliffe, OH, brother Terry (Diane) of lva, South Carolina, sister Beth (Frank) Banfill of Trophy Club, TX, sister-in-law Nancy (Homer) of Mesa, AZ, seven nephews and four nieces, and two fur babies, Renegade and Toto.
