He graduated from Wills High School in 1977 and became an earned the honor of Eagle Scout. After graduation, Kevin served in the United States Army for 3 years, stationed in Panama. Kevin had a passion of hiking and bike riding. He belonged to the Highpointers Club whose members aspire to reach all of the 50United States high points (summits). Kevin completed all but Alaska. He accomplished a completion of many counties high points within a state as well. In 2009 Kevin rode his bike pulling a trailer from Smyrna, Ga to Marshalltown, Iowa taking 6 weeks traveling the backroads and creating memories and stories he shared with anyone who would listen about this adventure. Kevin never met a stranger and loved to talk. Kevin was employed by Humphries and Company as a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his father Warren C. Williamson, Sr. and niece Amanda Ellen Gooden.
He is survived by his mother Marjorie Williams of Smyrna, brothers Marty Williamson of Powder Springs, Warren (Carol) Williamson, Jr. of Marietta, nephews Jason Kader (Leah) Williamson, Robert Warren (Nicole) Williamson, Bryan Keith Williamson, great nieces and nephews Eden Layne Williamson, Samuel Robert Williamson, Bryson Keith Williamson, Alexus Ellen Alston-Thompson, Haley Candace Gooden.
Graveside services are tentatively set for Saturday, October 9th, 2021 (specifics will be added closer to date) at Garwin Union Cemetery in Garwin. Iowa. Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna is in charge of local arrangements.
