Robert Grant Gardner, 89, passed away December 3, 2007. He was born June 18, 1918, in West Jordan, Utah, a son of Robert Roy and Eunice Elnora Walbeck.



Married Clea Anderson March 3, 1950. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, April 7, 1955. She preceded him on June 15, 2005. His mother passed away when he was two years old and Aunt Martie and Grandma Gardner moved in to help with the family. He worked side by side with his father on the farm. He and mother made their first home on the farm. He became a helicopter mechanic and moved to California. As a mechanic, he traveled around the world and brought his experiences back to his family. He was an active member of the LDS church. He was an ordinance worker in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.



Survived by children: Brant A. (Valerie) Gardner, Kent R. (Diane) Gardner, Debra (P. Kim) Proctor, Gary D. (Monica) Gardner, Bruce W. (Sylvia) Gardner; 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Afton and Lorna Gardner.




Funeral Services will be held Sat. Dec. 8, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Heber 1st/6th/9th LDS Ward, 325 E. 500 N. Viewing will be held Sat. from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be at the Midvale City Cemetery.
