He was predeceased by : his parents, James Daniel and Maggie Palmer Daniel; his sons, Butch Daniel and John Lee; and his siblings, Daisy Fountain, Mattie Weir, Geneva Eskew, Clifford Palmer and James W. Daniel.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Daniel; his daughter Tammy Nix; his sister Joyce Crane; and his grandchildren, Paul Nix Jr. and Katie Nix.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1st 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 1st 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
