Linda Ruth Strong was born on November 17, 1952 in Lindsay, Ca. She passed away on September 7, 2021 in Turlock, Ca.
She is survived by her husband of 52 yrs, Steven Strong, of Delhi, Ca. Her daughter, Sheryl Saltkill, of Turlock, Ca. Her sisters, Barbara Lowe, of Lindsay, Ca. and Vickie Jeter of VanCouver, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Wilford Jeter and Bertha Juanita Palmer of Lindsay, Ca. Her sister, Patsy Gaines, of Paso Robles, Ca.
Linda grew up around the Strathmore and Lindsay area. She graduated from Strathmore High School. She worked for a total of 43 years at various jobs during her lifetime including; Dakin Industries in Lindsay, Ca. where she worked as a seamstress and made stuffed animals there. Lindsay Olive Growers was her next job where she did general clean-up and later worked in the Laboratory. Hans Olsen Egg Company was an egg brokerage firm in Porterville, Ca. She supplied eggs for the Las Vegas Casinos. She was an editor for Jostens Yearbook in Visalia, Ca. At the Amity Foundation she spent a number of years working for the prison system. Her last job was at Roscoe Melton Tire Company. Her main job was bookkeeping and accounting. She really liked working with numbers. She then retired and did all the things that made her happy such as spending time with her family. Disneyland was her favorite place to go with her girls. Morro Bay was her go to vacation place. She loved clam chowder and crab. She was a Star Trek and Star Wars fanatic. She loved going anywhere. I called her my Go, Go, girl. She always had a suitcase packed and ready to go.
