Charles was born on October 20, 1943 in Franklin, Kentucky to the late Burton and Hazel (Kepley) Meador.
Charles married the love of his life, Evelyn (Collett) Meador, on October 23, 1965 in Indianapolis; they were married for fifty-five wonderful years.
Charles worked for Yellow Freight Lines for thirty-three years until his retirement in November of 1999. He was an avid walker and loved to travel, especially to Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida. He loved reading the Bible and visiting his family. He was dearly loved by his family and a best friend to many. He always had a smile on his face and was more than willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his wife, Evelyn Meador of Indianapolis; two brothers, Junior and Bobby Meador, both of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Hazel Meador, and eight siblings, Ray, Joe, Juanita, Roble, Lois, Marie, Wilma, and Rosie.
Rev. Don Cook will officiate a funeral service on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 1:00pm at Jessen Funeral Home ~ Franklin Chapel with visitation from 11:30am until the funeral hour. Charles will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
