A graveside service will be held at 11am, Monday October 4, 2021, at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5~9pm on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Linda was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on Wednesday, August 18, 1943, to parents, Hazel Abshire Jones and Edward Jones.
She moved to Orange, Texas where she worked for the Orange House and Motel 6. She met the love of her life when she met Burnis (Buddy) Perry. The couple married on July 22, 1961 and shared 58 blissful years together. They had six children that they shared and loved dearly. Linda was a wonderful mother to her children and loved each one unconditionally. Linda was loved and known by many. On a good day you could find her in the kitchen cooking. She was most known for her cooking, and anyone could tell you she made the best homemade biscuits you could ever have. She loved reading books and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Linda was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma, great great-grandma and friend. She will be truly missed and forever loved by all who knew her.
Linda is preceded in death by both of her parents, Edward and Hazel Jones, her husband Burnis Perry, her stepdaughter and grandson Tammy and Ryan Risinger, granddaughter, Heaven Ray Perry Cox, her brothers Morris, Nathan and David Jones and her sister Mary Domingue.
Those left to cherish her memories are her children; Lee Perry and wife Nancy; Michael Perry, Buddy Perry and wife Joyce; Katy Gibbs, Karen Jarrell and husband Richard, Shelly Perry; God child David Jones and wife Selena; Brothers Danny Jones and wife Wanda; Jim Jones and wife Helen; Sisters Carol Jones, Lois Richardson, and Jean Prohaska; as well as twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Perry, Patrick Perry, Sean Hamilton, Christian Jarrell, Jordan Jarrell, Joseph Vercher and Tyler Perry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Perry, Buddy Perry, Michael Perry, Kevin Jarrell, Andrew Abrego, Brandon Pajares, Dillon Hand, Shawn Hand, Christopher Jarrell, Nathan Jarrell, Ricky Zierer, Nicholas Zierer, and Jason Zierer.
