Jimmy is survived by his brother, Rocky Anthony Tate; his niece, Angela Tate Jones; his nephew, Rocky Lee Tate; great-nieces and nephews, Kobe, Makayla, Malinda, Dorsey Jr., and Gyanna Jones; and his great-great niece, Isabella Jones; all of Meadowbrook.
Jimmy retired from United Hospital Center where he worked in housekeeping. He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers, Miami Dolphins, and the New York Yankees. He loved spending time with his friends and family.
Friends will be received at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston; on Sunday, October 3, from 2-6pm. A funeral service will be held that evening at 6:00 pm with Pastor Jimmy Glaspell officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
