Albert Musgrove, 16-year-old student flier, fell to his death at the municipal airport Friday morning, in a plane that side-slipped and dropped about 300 feet soon after he took off for a trial flight.
As it crashed it burst into flames. The boy's body was recovered only after the plane had been utterly destroyed and firemen from Central station had extinguished the blaze with chemicals.
The accident at 10:20 o'clock was seen by perhaps a score of persons, but hundreds had gathered before the pyre was conquered. Coroner William McBratney removed the charred body of the boy from the cockpit at 11 o'clock. Two of those who watched were the father, Calvin Musgrove, 1326 Vermont Street, and the 18 year old brother, Harry, both of whom stood speechless, stunned.
