Funeral Service for Carolyn L. Carter, 68, of Vian, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Assembly of God Church in Vian, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Round Mountain Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

She was born on June 19, 1953 in Vian, Oklahoma to Ethel (Mathis) Cowett and Gayther Cowett and passed away on September 29, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Russell Marvin Carter on June 14, 1970 in Vian, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are:

husband: Russell of the home;

4 daughters: Debbie Carter and husband, Jeff Smith, of Vian, OK, Linda Farless and husband, Wess, of Sallisaw, OK, Stacey Baldwin and Coby Jumper of Sallisaw, OK and Tilira Carter of Vian, OK;

21 grandchildren: Nicole White, Courtney Carter, Axle Farless and wife, Hailey, Raven Farless, Zen Farless and wife, Katelynn, and Shelby, Flint, Connor, Sawyer, Grayson, Ava, Aurora, Haven, Christopher and Raiden Farless, Quinton Marvin Carter, Amarra Carter, Brooklyn Reed, Michael Russell Reed, Jenisis Laverne Baldwin and Daison Jumper;

9 great-grandchildren: Tristan Stiller, Kharis Tejada, Taylynn White, Paizlee White, Ezekiel White, Arrowlynn Carter, Willa Farless, Kaselina Bogue and Eris Farless;

6 sisters: Rosie, Velma, Dorothy, Arleta, Lorine, Ruby, Nancy and Mary;

several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tony Carter; four brothers, Jerry, G.F., Raydale and Alvis; four sisters, Mary, Winnie, Minnie and Wanda; one sister-in-law, Wanda Cowett; one niece, Ruby Chapman; and two nephews, David Cowett and Bernie Netz.

Active Pallbearers will be Jack Malone, Jeff Smith, Katlin Jennings, Isaac Lynch, Coby Jumper and Keagan Greer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Saturday 1 – 8 PM, Sunday 2 – 8 PM and Monday 10 AM – 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw, Oklahoma where the family will greet 6 – 8 PM Monday.
